About Teravista

Fence Staining for Teravista Homes.

Teravista sits north of Austin. Part of it is in Round Rock and part is in Georgetown.

The Teravista Community Association says the community started in 2001. It covers about 1,500 acres and has close to 3,400 homes. The HOA says its rules apply the same way on the Round Rock side and the Georgetown side.

That means the first fences in Teravista have been in the Texas sun for a long time. Sun dries out bare wood. Rain and heat make it gray, then split. Stain slows that down.

HOA rules

What Teravista’s HOA Says About Fence Stain.

The Teravista HOA’s own FAQ names one stain. It says the only approved stain is Behr Natural Cedar Tone ST-533. Tell us at your estimate that you live in Teravista. We’ll plan the job around that rule. If you are not sure what your HOA wants, ask the HOA office before work starts.

A few more things the HOA’s FAQ says that touch your fence:

  • The HOA does not keep up your fence. That job is yours.
  • Shared fences. If you share a fence with a neighbor, the HOA can help you reach them to talk about the work.
  • Changes need approval. Any change to the outside of your home goes through Architectural Review. The HOA allows up to 30 days for a review.
  • Someone checks. The HOA has a compliance staff member who drives the community each week.
